Supreme Court on Thursday ordered against taking any actions against their Justice Abdulla Didi.
Supreme Court's order comes during a time when the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) had suspended Justice Abdulla Didi, after Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed submitted a disciplinary case regarding the justice to the JSC.
Justice Abdulla Didi had submitted to rule the order to suspend him as void on the terms that it was not in accordance to the proper procedures. It also adds to rule that the decision to suspend him by JSC was unlawful and in violation of the constitution as well as the regulations of the JSC.
Accepting the case by Justice Abdulla Didi, the Supreme Court had ruled to order the JSC to not take any actions to enforce their decision of suspending the Justice until the Supreme Court comes to a decision on the matter.
