Club Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw by Buru Sports Club in their Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League clash.

Eagles, who had lost their opening match to Maziya Sports and Recreation Club but bounced back with a win against Victory Sports Club, started brightly. They took the lead when Ahmed Rizwan set up Ibrahim Mahudhee Hussain, who struck home from a rebound. He then doubled the advantage with a well-taken free kick.

Buru Sports reduced the deficit in the 38th minute through Mohamed Naim, whose long-range free kick sailed into the top corner. The equaliser came in the 57th minute when Hudson Diaz de Jesus was fouled inside the box, allowing Abdulla Junaid to convert from the penalty spot.

Both sides created chances in search of a decisive goal but ultimately had to settle for a share of the points.

The Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League continues tonight, with TC Sports Club set to face Maziya at 9:00 pm.
