Milandhoo, Kanditheemu, Funadhoo and Foakaidhoo have secured places in the atoll semi-finals of the Hyundai and Golden Futsal Challenge 2026, the largest and most prestigious futsal tournament in the Maldives.
Eight teams from Shaviyani Atoll are competing in the group stage, divided into two groups. Kanditheemu confirmed their place in the semi-finals from Group A after winning both of their matches. They recorded a 5–2 victory in their opening match, followed by another win to maintain a perfect record.
Foakaidhoo also won both of their group matches, collecting six points alongside Kanditheemu. With both teams already qualified, the remaining fixtures will determine the group standings, with no possibility of a semi-final clash between them.
In Group B, Milandhoo booked their semi-final place with a narrow 1–0 win in their second match of the season. Funadhoo also progressed after securing a 2–1 victory in their group match.
The remaining group matches between Goidhoo and Komandu, and between Funadhoo and Milandhoo, will decide the final group positions. Atoll round matches of the Hyundai and Golden Futsal Challenge will continue tonight. One Sports is the online media partner of the Golden Futsal Challenge.
