The HD Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2026 is currently underway, with Kanduhulhudhoo securing a strong start to their campaign with a victory in their opening match in Zone 7 matches.
Several Zone 7 and Zone 5 matches were played yesterday evening as part of the ongoing zone round. In Zone 7 Group B, Maradhoo faced Dhevvadhoo in a closely contested match, with Maradhoo winning 3–2. Mohamed Shahau Ali scored two goals for Maradhoo, while Hussain Aik added the third. Goals for Dhevvadhoo were scored by Shifaz Adhil and Vishah Abdul Majeed. Maradhoo and Hoadedhdhoo advanced from the group to the zone semi-finals.
In another Zone 7 match, Kanduhulhudhoo defeated Dhandimagu 3–. Ahnaf Zahir scored twice in the match, while Ali Azwan Abdul Aziz added the third goal. Mohamed Saad Nizar scored the lone goal for Dhandimagu. Meanwhile, the match between Vaadhoo and Addu Hithadhoo ended in a 2–2 draw, with goals from Mohamed Nail and Ibrahim Shauf Mohamed for Vaadhoo, and Eman Nazeer and Hazim Fauzee for Hithadhoo.
Zone 5 matches also kicked off yesterday. In the first match, M. Dhiggaru defeated Magoodhoo 1–0, with Ismail Zayan Sulaiman scoring the decisive goal.
