The HD Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2026 zone round matches are underway across the Maldives, with Dhuvaafaru securing a place in the zone finals after recording two victories.
In Zone 1, four teams competed on Thursday evening. Naivadhoo drew 1–1 with Nolhivaranfaru in their opening match. Ahmed Sizan scored for Naivadhoo, while Akram Abdul Rasheed netted for Nolhivaranfaru. Both teams now have two points and remain in contention. Naivadhoo will next face Maarandhoo, who earned four points from two matches after defeating Kelaa 1–0, with Samhan Abdul Rahman scoring the winner.
In Zone 4, teams remain closely contested. A match between Mathiveri and Omadhoo ended in a goalless draw. Omadhoo have two points from two matches and will qualify for the zone finals if they win their remaining game against Keyodhoo. Keyodhoo sit second with three points after defeating Mahibadhoo, with goals from Ahmed Rasheed and Arin Abdulla Ibrahim. Mahibadhoo’s goals came from Ismail Nazeer and Ibrahim Usama Hassan Majeed.
In Zone 2, Maalhendhoo kept their qualification hopes alive with a 5–1 win over Foakaidhoo. Mohamed Farhan scored twice, while Ali Farish, Ibrahim Zayan and Afeef Easa added the other goals. Abdulla Rushdan scored the lone goal for Foakaidhoo. Dhuvaafaru lead the zone with six points from two matches.
Meanwhile, Dhuvaafaru defeated Kanditheemu 2–0, with goals from Ibrahim Anan Ali and Mohamed Isham, confirming their place in the zone finals.
