Ahmed Nasif has been re-elected as Chairperson of the Maldives Pool Billiard Association (MPBA), securing his third term in office. He defeated Ismail Razeen in an election where 115 out of 128 eligible clubs cast their votes.
Nasif, who also serves as Chairman of the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO), is currently in his second term and will now continue into a third.
Ahmed Mahid was elected as Vice Chairperson, while Fathimath Raufa Mohamed Hafiz took the role of Treasurer. Fagheeha Ibrahim secured the special slot for female representatives. Ali Shavin and Yoosuf Zubair were elected as general members.
The newly elected executive committee stated that it will prioritize youth development and strengthening grassroots participation in billiards. It also pledged to increase the number of competitions, ensure transparency, and work toward developing high-quality infrastructure across the atolls.
