President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to launch a special programme that will allow members of the public to meet him directly and present their concerns and complaints.

Speaking on PSM's "Nation Chat" programme, the President said claims that issues raised by citizens do not receive practical attention are untrue. He noted that a dedicated government team is actively responding to public concerns submitted through various channels and working to resolve them.

The President said all applications and complaints are reviewed and responded to after verification, adding that only large-scale projects, such as housing schemes, may take longer to receive responses.

To further improve public access, President Dr Muizzu said he plans to set aside one or two days each week to meet citizens directly. He said the initiative would allow more families from across the country's 93 constituencies to discuss their concerns with him.

The President also said he intends to spend more time meeting ordinary citizens during visits to islands, in addition to holding discussions with local councils.
