Gender Minister Shidhaatha Shareef has been summoned to the Parliament, over the case of Shaim Abdulla who went missing while he was under state care.

The Minister has been summoned to the Parliament sitting held for Monday.

Speaking to the media about the agenda for the sitting, Secretary General of Parliament Fathimath Niusha said that Minister Shidhaatha will be presented before the Parliament to be questioned regarding the case. The questions will come from Faresmaathodhaa MP Hussain Mohamed Latheef.

Police first announced their search for Shaim on June 20th, and finally found him on July 1st after weeks of searching.

A Maldivian man and woman was arrested for hiding Shaim after an initial investigation as well.
