President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the First Lady, Fazna Ahmed accompanied by a government delegation, has arrived in Seychelles, on a State Visit to the country.

The President, First Lady and accompanying delegation were welcomed at the Seychelles International Airport, Minister of Local Government, Macsuzy Mondon.

After a short period of rest and refreshment, they were escorted to their accommodation in preparation for the formalities of the State Visit.

Throughout the visit it is expected that our two governments will sign several memoranda of understanding to take forward our concrete cooperation in manifold areas, encompassing the blue economy, diplomacy, sport and conservation, among others. Following the signing of agreements both Presidents will lead a Joint Press Statement.

Whilst in Seychelles, the President will also be attending a formal state luncheon scheduled to be hosted in his honor by the Seychellois President, and will be provided a tour of Seychelles’ most famous vantage point, Mission Lodge, from which the stunning vistas of the country can be truly appreciated.

It is expected that this visit will be a successful one and will further strengthen the friendly ties between both our countries.
