The newly appointed Maldivian Ambassador to China, Aishath Azeema has officially presented her credentials to the Chinese government.

Ambassador Azeema presented her credentials this morning to the DDG of the Protocol Department of China and the Director of the Office of Foreign Missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Lutong.

The new Maldivian Ambassador was appointed to the position on 16 June 2019 and arrived in Beijing on 16 August.

She is a former Deputy Ambassador at the Maldivian Embassy in London, UK, and worked at the Maldivian Foreign Ministry as an Additional Secretary at the Ministry and Joint Secretary. Ambassador Azeema has worked in numerous state positions since 1988 and took part in different training programs abroad.
