President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mr Ahmed Iman Moosa of M. Seven Star, Male’, as Deputy Minister of Finance.

Mr Moosa has a Master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from the University of Queensland, Australia, and has previously served as Managing Director at SKULL Fishing.

Additionally, he has held positions at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc ( Dhiraagu) and Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA).

This marks the fifth Deputy Minister at the Finance Ministry, with another two state ministers.

With this, the total of Deputy Ministers comes to 38 with additional 30 in the same capacity as Deputy Ministers. The total hence comes to 68, with each of them receiving a monthly salary of MVR 30,000.
