Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed has said that the Maldives Police Service will be issuing an official statement regarding the information on the disappearance and the death of the Minivan News journalist, Ahmed Rilwan, released by the Presidential Commission investigating Disappearances and Deaths.
Hameed made the statement today on Twitter.
In his tweet, Commissioner Hameed said that important meetings were conducted on his visit to the UK and a lot of work needs to be done to win back the public trust in regards to the “revelations made by the Presidential Commission”.
