President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed that the murder case of Minivan News journalist Ahmed Rilwan will be sent to the Prosecutor General's Office by next week.

The President made the statement during a press meet held at the President's Office today.

Speaking on the works of the Commission on Deaths and Disappearances, President Solih noted that they have already finished compiling their investigative report into the murder of Rilwan. He also revealed that the Commission had noted that they will send the report to the PG Office next week in order to charge and prosecute the necessary people.

President Solih also revealed that the investigative report into the murder of blogger Yameen Rasheed has also concluded and that the details of it will only be shared once the current trial is over. He further added that the murder trial of Yameen Rasheed will conclude by early next month.

Additionally, the President also noted that the commission had almost finished their report into the untimely death of Raudha Athif, who was found dead while studying medicine in Bangladesh.

The commission is currently investigative four other cases like these.
