Minister of Communication, Science and Technology Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal has said that Dhiraagu has played a pivotal role in national development.

He made the statement in his address on the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of Dhiraagu. He highlighted that the formation of Dhiraagu back then was an important step forward for the Maldives as a country.

Speaking on the policies of the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, he said that the plan is to further develop the existing services and modernize them to be accessible at cheaper price points. He further asserted that the telecom ministry was formulated for the said purpose.

In his address, the Minister had also thanked and noted of the service of all working in Dhiraagu.

Dhiraagu is the leading and the largest provider of telecommunications and digital services in the Maldives offering a comprehensive range of mobile, internet ,data, fixed line and TV services throughout the Maldives.
