Maldives Police Service have begun investigating a case into the attempted rape of a patient by a physiotherapist at Dharumavantha Hospital.

Police confirmed that they are probing the case of a 28 year old Indian physiotherapist attempting to rape a 19 year old woman who went to the hospital seeking physiotherapy.

The case was reported on October 9th, at 1800 hours.

No arrests have been made so far regarding the case, which is currently being investigated further.

Upon being contacted by "One" regarding the case, a media official for the hospital noted that they were not aware of the situation and only came to know about it today following media inquiries.
