Maldives Immigration has revealed that during the month of December 2019, a total of 2,502 new work visas have been issued.

Statistics published by the Immigration Department revealed that a total of 165 people were denied entry into the Maldives while 11 were detained while trying to depart the Maldives under a false identity.

In addition to this, the number of offloaded passengers came to a total of 262.

Out of the 214,776 arrivals to the Maldives in the same month, 171,348 were recorded to be passengers. 194,044 were departures during the period out of which 33,860 were Maldivians.
