President: Parliament is one of most important partners is taking the nation to direction the people wants it to go

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the Parliament is one of the most important partners in taking the nation towards the direction the people wants it to go.

Speaking at his annual address under Article 84 at the opening of the parliament, President Solih said that one of the greatest joys of the public today is the return to civil peace and the secret to is the work of the parliament.

Highlighting the work of the parliament, the President said that the parliament has passed 49 of the 27 bills sent to the 19th parliament and thanked the Speaker of the Parliament, Mohamed Nasheed and the Deputy Speaker, Eva Abdulla along with all of the MPs for their work.
