Ministry of Education has revealed that three teachers have been suspended from the same school for the alleged sexual abuse of of students.

The media official of Education Ministry confirmed the news to “One Online”.

The first teacher was suspended by the Education Ministry due to an investigation by Maldives Police Service last week. Local news “Mihaaru” had then reported yesterday that two other teachers have been suspended since.

According to their article, the three accused men are yet to be apprehended even though the case is now under investigation by the Police. The three are being accused of sexually abusing students on repeated counts.

Police were unavailable for a comment when contacted by “One Online”.
