A young man has been arrested for vandalizing the vehicle of the Vice President, Faisal Naseem.

Maldives Police Service said that they received a report of a man under the influence of drugs vandalizing vehicles near Hilaaleege.

Police said that they went to the scene following the report, the windshield wiper and the number plate of the Vice President's vehicle in the area was broken. A 20-year-old local man was arrested in connection to the vandalism.

And an further investigation is ongoing according to the authorities.
