The Maldivian High Commission in Sri Lanka has said that the Maldivians living in Sri Lanka should be aware of the nation-wide curfew amid the COVID-19 Corona Virus pandemic.

Sri Lankan authorities have implemented a nation-wide curfew effective from 6 a.m. this morning to 6 a.m. on Monday.

Maldivian High Commission in Sri Lanka re-iterated the curfew hours on Twitter and advised the Maldivians in Sri Lanka to follow the instructions of the Sri Lankan government.

As a precautionary measure amid the pandemic, a number of countries have closed its international borders. The Maldivian Foreign Ministry has advised the Maldivians living abroad to be registered with the Ministry.
