Health Minister Abdulla Ameen has said that everyone should be prepared for a potential quarantine.

He said that while speaking during a press at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) today, and noted that the regulations regarding quarantine might have to be changed at some point.

As such he had said that everyone should be prepared for a potential quarantine at their homes. He highlighted that some patients do not need any form of treatment and that they could continue their everyday lives in quarantine.

Minister Ameen noted that access to treatment and other necessary care if their situation worsens, have been arranged as well. Discussions are now being held on quarantine arrangements for such patients, in potentially a separate island or space.

Minister also noted that the residents of Male' needed to be very careful about the current situation.
