State Electric Company (STELCO) has said that the power outages in parts of the Maldivian capital were caused by technical issues.

Talking to One Online, the Media Official of STELCO said that the electrical power outages were caused due to a technical issue and it has now been fixed.

And so, the company is now working to restore power to the affected areas.

Parts of the city experienced a power blackout about an hour ago and STELCO has publicly apologized for the inconvenience to the public.
