A member of the admin staff of the Parliament has tested positive for COVID-19.

"One Online" can confirm that the employee works in Parliament maintenance, and that the employee is a Maldivian. The patient was last seen in the office on Monday and was found to be positive of COVID-19 after a random sampling.

Parliament was informed of the employee testing positive during the session today, shortly after which the HR department had informed to vacate the premises within 30 minutes.

In addition to this, staff that had come into face to face contact with the patient for more than 15 minutes have been asked to inform the HR department.

One can also confirm that the HR department has informed all employees that they will be working from home tomorrow.
