After an employee of the Criminal Court tests positive, the court has been closed down for today and tomorrow to disinfect the building.
A statement issued by the court said that although the hearings for today and tomorrow have been cancelled, remand hearings and court order requests from investigative bodies will be ongoing virtually with employees working from home.
The statement also said that employees that were in direct contact and those that need to be quarantined have been identified. And the court said that the work of the court was arranged so that not many would be in quarantine despite the positive testing.
And do, judges and other court staff are working in two sessions since Monday and at each session, only the least number of people needed for court proceedings are coming to work in person.
While an employee of the Criminal Court has tested positive, an employee from the Parliament was also tested positive last week which followed the disinfection of the building. And parliament sitting has been set for tomorrow.
