President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the government is preparing to reopen the state offices, cafés and restaurants at the beginning of next month.
Speaking during. a press conference at the President's Office, President Solih noted that the government is preparing to ease several lockdown measures. As such government offices, cafe's and restaurants are going to be reopened in July.
He further added that the borders will be reopened in July 15, after which resorts will once again be opened for tourists as well.
The lockdown in Maldives was first eased on May 28th for a period of two weeks, after which additional lockdown measueres were lifted till July 15th.
