Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that a large portion of the Raa Atoll Maduvari Harbor Development Project has now been completed.

The company said that 90 percent of the port depth has been completed along with 95 percent of the port entry work.

And so, an area of 72,800 cubic meter have been dug according to MTCC. The remaining work entails a 411-meter outer sea wall, 566-meter inner sea wall and 135 meters of revetment.

MTCC said that the project also includes a pavement area of 2,825 square meters along with the installation of harbor and port lights.

Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure contracted the projected to MTCC in August 2019 and the project work began in November.
