Parliamentary Committee on Economic Affairs has shortlisted five candidates who applied for the four vacancies on the Board of Directors of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), and has submitted the names to the parliament floor.
Eight candidates who applied for the vacancies were forwarded to the parliament by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The names were submitted to the committee for research and vetting on August 12th.
The Committee shortlisted five candidates following the vetting process, and an interview and now have forwarded all five names to the parliament floor for consideration.
The candidates who were shortlisted:
- Mumthaz Abdul Rasheed, Muringu, H. Dh. Hanimaadhoo
- Leena Mohamed Zahir Hussain, H. Neal Villa, Male’
- Husham Waheed, G. Male’ Hiya 2 15-03
- Ali Irufan, Daylight Villa, S. Maradhoo-Feydhoo
- Aishath Asha Ali, H. Eastward, Male’
Four out of these five applicants will be appointed to the board after a call for vote on the parliament floor.
