Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery is set investigate the corruption at MMPRC. The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has been accused of a MVR1.4 billion corruption during the former administration of President Abdulla Yameen.
The Presidential Commission took to Twitter today that corruption at MMPRC is currently under investigation. The tweet further urged anyone with information or documents regarding the case to come forward.
The Commission will investigate any case of corruption that may have taken place between January 2012 and the 17 November 2018. In addition, the commission is also said to probe previously stalled or deactivated cases of unlawful government spending and various other issues.
The Presidential Commission has asked that any such cases be submitted by the 24 February 2019.
