Defence Minister, Maryia Ahmed Didi has said that one in five officers of MNDF received some form of training last year.

She made the state month in her weekly column on the MNDF magazine “Addana”.

The Defence Minister said that the past year was a successful year of regaining the public love through a wide range of social activities. And so, modern changes were brought to the MNDF structure and awareness programs were conducted keep the force one that is acquainted with modern tools.

In her column, Minister Mriya emphasizes the promise of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the government efforts to improve the capabilities of the MNDF.

She further said that Maldivian military is now perceived as capable and professional force and their work by staying outside political influence is well received. And the said that the hope is to continue serving the country with the trust of the public.
