The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives has risen to 14,064 after another 36 people recovers in the pas 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 36 people have recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours and that there are 14,064 people recovered with 1,492 people are currently undergoing treatment including 142 people being treated at hospitals.

Meanwhile, 87 people also tested positive in the Male’ Area while 21 people tested positive in the atolls with another ten from the resorts in the same time frame raising the total number of COVID cases in the country to 15,614.

There have been 51 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives so far that consists of 44 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
