The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 18,780 after another 85 people has recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 85 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 18,780. There are 2,531 people still in treatment with 133 people being treated in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 114 people have tested positive including 86 people from Male' area and 14 from the islands and 14 from the resorts.

So far, there have been 64 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 57 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
