Chair of the Joint Committee and MP for North Maafannu constituency, Imthiyaz Fahumee has said that the the Asset Recovery Commission does not object to releasing the list of names of those involved in the corruption of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Committee is looking in to the delay on the investigation.

During a meeting of the committee today, Imthiyaz said that the MMPRC Corruption Scandal is being investigated as a joint investigation by the ACC, Maldives Police Service and the Asset Recovery Commission.

He also noted that none of the parties object to the publicizing of the list of names.

Thulhadhoo MP Hissan Hussain also noted that upon being questioned whether the publication of the names would affect the investigation or not, the Asset Recovery Commission had reiterated that it would not affect their investigation in any way.

Hassan further added that the decision to publicize the names the way it was submitted by the Asset Recovery Commission was an important one.
