The joint committee looking into the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) corruption scandal has said that there are 119 state officials listed on the Asset Recovery Commission's list of individuals involved in the scandal, at various positions of the state.

A Joint Committee that consists of both the National Security Committee and the Judiciary Committee of the Parliament was formed to look in to the progress of the Asset Recovery Commission and look in to the delays in the investigation.

Speaking at the Committee meeting, the Chair of the joint committee, the MP for North Maafannu constituency, Imthiyaz Fahumee said that as per the request from the Committee, the Asset Recovery Commission has presented a separate list of the state officials involved in the MMPRC corruption.

He said that the list contains the names of 119 individuals that consists of MPs, Police officers and MNDF officers along with those at the judiciary and various institutes.
