The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country has risen to 144 after two people passed away today.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 66-year-old man being treated at the Hulhumale' Facility passed away at 1:01 a.m. last night. And the second person, an 89-year-old passed away at the same facility at 7:40 a.m. this morning.

With these two most recent deaths, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country have reached 144.

There are currently 74 islands in the Maldives under monitoring.

Yesterday alone saw 13 COVID-19 related deaths in the country raising the total number of COVID-related deaths in the country to 142.
