The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country has risen to 198 after a woman at Dharumavantha Hospital has has passed away.

One Online has learned that the woman who passed away this afternoon was a 53-year-old local who was being treated at the 11 floor of Dharumavantha Hospital.

The total COVID-related deaths in the country now stands at 198 with 183 locals and 15 foreigners.

As the COVID death toll edges closer to 200, this is a very high figure for such a small community. Authorities have been urging of precautions and safety measures while members from the children, youth and the elderly have passed away in the country.
