Former Minister of Communication, Science and Technology, Mohamed Maleehu Jamal has said that even the cabinet ministers of the current administration do not have the freedom to express themselves.

After re-joining the opposition party PPM, the for minister said that the current administration took three years to do what PPM did in one month and what we see is that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih does not know how to run the country.

He said that the current government has been the most vocal about democracy but the actions of the administration have been the opposite of that. And even the cabinet ministers does not have the freedom of expression.

Maleehu said that PPM did not give a narrative of what has to be said and what not to say and the current administration openly obstructs the media.

The first Minister of Communication, Science and Technology, Maleehu was removed from office with a No Confidence vote at the Parliament. After that, on 10 March, Maleehu left the government coalition's Jumhoory Party.
