Sri Lankan authorities have arrested four Maldivian nationals for flying a drone and capturing video over the airspace of Bandaranaike International Airport.

A Sri Lankan newspaper “The Daily Mirror” reported that the Katana police had arrested the Maldivians nationals at approximately 8:00 pm last night for flying a drone above the airport without permission.

The Maldivians arrested reportedly include 19 to 23 year olds - including a female Maldivian national. The arrestees are said to be produced at the Negombo Magistrate's Court for a hearing.
