The total number of recoveries in the country has risen to 78,076 after 123 people recovered from COVID-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 133 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 78,076 with another 1,648 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 26 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 56 from the atolls rising the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 79,959.

There has been 223 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 206 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
