President of the Elections Commission (EC) Fuad Thaufeeq has said that the Presidential Election set for 2023 would be a successful one.

Speaking on Raajje TV's "Falasurukhee" program last night, Fuad said that there is a group of people creating doubt about the election however, there is no one who would say that things went from bad to worse after the election. He said that that serves as proof of growing confidence with the public.

Fuad said that the Presidential Election on 2018 went smoother as the public wanted compared to the Election in 2013. And plans are being made ahead of time to ensure that the election in 2023 is going to be a smooth one as well.

He also said that it is not good for the Courts to rule the legitimacy of the elections.
