Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed met with the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to discuss the changing of the system of government in the Maldives.

The President's Office said that topics of discussion at the meeting today included the economy and the environment along with the system of government at the meeting held at the President's Office today.

While the Speaker of the Parliament and the President has discussed changing the system of government, Speaker Nasheed has previously said that further comments on changing the system of government to a Parliamentary System can be made after talks with the President.
