Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has said that medical test conducted on former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom yielded good results. The hospital has further revealed that the reason he has not been discharged from the hospital is due to doctors advisement stating further consultation.

While President Yameen had been taken to the hospital around 6:30 pm on 4 March 2019, doctors have advised to keep him under 24 hour observation. While the 24 hours have passed since then, the former President under detention has not been released from the hospital.

Media Official of IGMH spoke to One Online on behalf of the doctor that attended President Yameen and said that the test have not revealed an illness.

The Media Official further said that the time of discharge for President Yameen will be confirmed sometime tomorrow.

While the former President currently under detention had been brought to IGMH on 20 February, he had been released on that occasion after 24 hour observation.
