Department of Immigration has said that investigations are underway against 67 companies and individuals that are in violation of the law in the process of bringing in expatriate workers.

A press statement issued by Immigration said that they are under investigation for working outside the law and for negligence in their responsibilities.

Administrative action has been taken against the 27 companies under investigation according to Immigration.

The statement said that they had acquired the quota to bring in expatriates through misinformation and invalid documents.
