Speaker of the Parliament and Leader of the Jumhoory Party (JP), Qasim Ibrahim has said that millionaires should take seats in the Parliaments so they cannot be bought.

Qasim made the remark while talking to the constituents of Dhangethi constituency in Dhigurah. Colonel Nazim is running for parliament on the JP ticket for the Dhangethi constituency.

The JP Leader said that if rich merchants are elected to the parliament, they cannot be bought out to influence a vote.

Qasim implied that the poor person with no responsibilities would have nothing to offer in parliament and seek to fill their own pockets.

He said that national service should be charged to someone who can look after their responsibilities and look after many things at once.
