The Ministry of Higher Education has fulfilled all 100 day campaign pledges of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih assigned to the Ministry.

In a press conference held today by the Ministry, the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan declared that all 100 day campaign pledges have now been completed.

Some of the seven pledges assigned to the Ministry include providing opportunity for first degree in Maldives for free as well as offering loans with lower interest rates for those seeking higher education abroad.

Additionally, a High Achievers Scholarship scheme has also been revised. The Ministry of Higher Education has also improved the operations at the  Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) as well as submitted a draft for improving higher education in Maldives, to Parliament. An arrangement was also made to provide scholarships for for students achieving first place in GCE Advanced Level Examinations to study at any university of their choosing. The Ministry has also assembled a training need alliance and began running the Bicocca University outpost in Maldives.
