Elections Commission has revealed that the 2019 Parliamentary Election saw a record turnout compared to previous elections.

As such, the Elections Commissioner revealed that the turn out was higher than that of the 2014 Parliamentary Election. However, the exact percentage is yet to be revealed or confirmed.

Statistics however suggest that the turnout was over 70% and close to 75% of all eligible voters.

A total of 386 candidates had contested for 87 constituencies this election.
