Out of the six Maldivians arrested in Sri Lanka, the remand period for two has been extended.
The two in question are the ones who were found in possession of books related to extremist terror group, Islamic State. Mount Lavinia magistrate court has extended their remand period by 13 days.
The six Maldivians were arrested on Friday night during a search operation in related to the bomb blasts that rocked Sri Lanka on last Sunday.
The Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka revealed that four of those arrested were students who were studying Flight Engineering. The four of them were living together in the same house.
