Bank of Maldives (BML) has donated 30 additional wheelchairs as part of its annual initiative to support people with mobility impairments across the country.
Since the programme began in 2017, BML has delivered more than 360 wheelchairs to individuals living in over 105 islands.
This year, the Bank expanded the programme to cater to a wider range of needs by introducing specialised manual wheelchairs for children and adults who rely on caregivers, alongside motorised wheelchairs for those who can use them independently.
BML stated that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to community health and corporate social responsibility by improving the quality of life and independence of beneficiaries and their families.
