State Electric Company (STELCO) has launched a specialised training programme to enhance the technical skills of employees working at utility centres across the atolls.
STELCO said the programme is a "Certificate Level 3 in Water System Operation and Maintenance" course. A total of 60 STELCO employees from various islands are participating in the training.
The company said the course aims to equip staff with the technical knowledge and skills required to provide safe and sustainable water and sewerage services. It also seeks to help employees obtain nationally recognised professional certification.
The training programme is being conducted in collaboration with the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT).
