Maldives Police Service has recovered property worth MVR 826,730 out of MVR 838,434 reported lost in theft and burglary cases submitted to Malé Police between July 5 and 11.

Police said the recovered items account for more than 98 per cent of the total value of reported losses during the period.

The highest value of reported theft and burglary cases was recorded at Maafannu Police Station, where cases involving MVR 407,553 were reported. Of that amount, property worth MVR 396,888 has been recovered.

Police said the high recovery rate reflects continued efforts to investigate cases, recover stolen property and return it to its rightful owners.
