Bank of Maldives (BML) has signed an agreement with irunners to become the exclusive banking partner for the Maldives Half Marathon 2026 (MHM26).

The marathon will take place at Hulhumalé Central Park on 14 August and is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants. The event will feature eight race categories, including the half marathon, 15km, 10km, 5km fun run, 5km wheelchair race, Kids' Mile and a family run.

Ahead of the race, a three-day expo organised by irunners will be held at the Hulhumalé Running Track from 11 to 13 August. The expo will offer participants and sports enthusiasts information, activities and interactive experiences.

BML said one of the highlights of this year's event is that part of the registration fees will be donated to environmental conservation. The funds will be contributed to Save the Beach under the Protect Reef campaign.
